This is a digital event deck manager for Maladum and its expansions. It helps you manage and manipulate the event deck during gameplay.
Start in Build mode. Select which game boxes you want to use, set your deck counts and rules, then click Generate Deck. The page then switches into Play mode, scrolls you into the live deck, and keeps build tools demoted behind the play surface.
Cards are categorized by their type (e.g., Denizen, Revenant, Veteran). Some cards can have multiple types, indicated by "+" (must be both) or "/" (can be either).
Build mode is where you choose games, set difficulty, and configure the event deck. Play mode keeps the current card and live deck controls front and center, with a sticky summary bar showing games, difficulty, rules, remaining cards, and discard count.
They now live in the utility drawer. Use Edit Build to return to the setup phase, or Search Cards to jump straight into the search utility without leaving the main play view.
Use Next as the main draw control. Prev lets you step back, and In Play marks the current card as active without removing it from the deck flow. The progress bar shows your current position, and the ready state now displays as Ready to draw.
Card Actions now live in a collapsible drawer under the main controls. They allow you to manipulate the deck during gameplay:
- Shuffle into remaining deck: Places the current card randomly in the remaining cards
- Shuffle into next N cards: Places the card within the next N cards
- Replace with same type: Swaps the current card with another of the same type
- Introduce Sentry cards: Adds Sentry cards into the remaining deck
- Insert card by type: Adds a new card of a specific type to the deck
Yes. Search is now a persistent utility instead of a setup-only panel. You can open a card preview at any time, then shuffle that card near the top of the deck, insert it next, or add it to the bottom if you already have an active deck.
Sentry cards (Revenants and Malagaunts) represent elite enemies that can be introduced during gameplay. When Sentry rules are enabled:
1. A separate deck of 3-5 Sentry cards is created but not included in your initial deck
2. These cards can be introduced into the remaining deck when needed using the "Introduce Sentry cards" action
3. Once introduced, they are shuffled into the remaining cards
4. This matches game scenarios where reinforcements arrive during exploration
Corrupter cards represent chaos-tainted enemies that infest the fortress. When Corrupter rules are enabled:
1. Five random cards in your initial deck are replaced with Corrupter cards
2. These replacements happen during deck generation
3. Corrupter cards include special enemies like Chaos Beasts and other tainted creatures
4. This creates additional challenges and represents the fortress's corruption
This area shows cards that are currently active or in play. You can clear these cards when they're no longer needed.
Yes, your current deck state, position, and settings are automatically saved and will persist even if you refresh the page or close the browser.
Yes, this is a Progressive Web App (PWA) that can be installed on your device and used offline.
The app respects duplicate cards in the source material - if a card appears multiple times in the game, it can appear multiple times in your deck.
Try refreshing the page. If the problem persists, you can clear your saved state by clicking "Reset All" in the deck builder options.
Use the card type insertion feature to add specific types of cards when required by special game rules or scenarios.
